HOW
DO YOU CAN TAKE A
STRAY HOME ?
1.
Ask your travel agent on Kos if it is possible to take a dog home on your flight. Usually there is no problem, but they must be informed some days in advance.
2.
Bring
the dog /cat to a vet. It will need a
health certificate,
innoculations (if old enough vaccination against
rabies. Greece itself however
is rabies free) and worming.

3.
Buy
a transportation box from a veterinean. If the
animal (and box) is very small it may usually travel with
you in the cabin.
As
long as you have the health booklet for your dog/cat, you will experience no
problems at the border.

If you are thinking about adopting
a pet, please a adopt a stray. Greek stray dogs
are well-known for their friendly and social character. Animals left to fend themselves have not change of surviving for
long time. They are in danger to be run over by cars, get poisoned etc.
If you can help one of them,
this
is a great act of compassion.
